There are two studios at Bikram's Yoga College of India in Philadelphia, each with its own unique vibe. The studio on the top floor (seen above) is perfect for larger night and weekend classes and includes several artistic flourishes: four stained glass windows allow light into the room and two hand-painted murals frame the studio. This room is in use on a daily basis and hosted the 2007 Pennsylvania Regional Asana Championships.
When you enter Bikram's Yoga College of India in Philadelphia, you are immediately surrounded by an energizing burst of color. Combined with the neutral tones of ecru and putty, an oasis of serenity is created which sooths your mind as you prepare for class. Textural elements, such as the willowy curtains held by rock structures and deep green foliage, bring the feeling of nature into the forefront. An uplifting sense of calmness greets you as you enter the brightly lit, crisp class studio with its hand painted sky ceiling, revitalizing you for class. The common area, with its relaxing seating area filled with oversized cushions, is overflowing with educational materials to enhance the body, mind, and spirit.
